The apartment P6 is part of what was once a new apartment block. It has never been inhabited, was neglected for years, then later redesigned and transformed based on different floor plans. Due to all the changes, the visible beams of the apartment are of varying heights, with other anomalies. Furthermore, there is a ceiling and wall capillary cooling system that prevents the movement of light and a ventilation system with illogically set outputs.
Since both clients are writers, they love and own a lot of books, hence their need and desire for several bookshelves. With so many books, we thought the interior design should emphasize them and so, we chose a simple white and wood combination for all the rooms. The sofa, chairs and curtains are also in light tones. The only material that stands out is the black stone on the kitchen counter and on the coffee table.
The two smaller rooms have become two studios, for each client. Every studio comes with a desk, a sofa bed, a closet for guests and of course, a lot of bookshelves.
