The aim of this project was to create a home for a family that is involved in agriculture. The existing inconsistent situation was composed of two smaller houses attached to each other. The part of the original house that was in a good condition was reconstructed, the oldest part was demolished and replaced by an extension. The clients wanted a house resemblinga rural villa and therefore, the living space and the outbuilding are joined under the same roof so that the house appears bigger.

The unusual floorplan that suits the family’s needs is formed around an atrium that provides better living conditions for the family. The living space from inside looks modern and bright, but from the outside, the building still gives the impression of the original traditional house.
