After several unsuccessful attempts to create the perfect house for their future family, a young couple came to us with a clear request: a home for a family with two children, a place for group gatherings and additional two apartments, one for guests and and the other for rent. The project had great potential, but there were a few obstacles to overcome, or to better rephrase it, to turn into an advantage.

The building plot is located on a very picturesque part of the Slovenian coast, but unfortunately next to a road with heavy traffic. How to create a quiet and peaceful environment and at the same time assure the privacy needed between the guests and the family?

The ground floor offers access to the garden, but from the first floor there is a great view of the sea. Where should the living area be?
